The figs that are processed for “Vyevreugde Figfun” are from the farms Eikenhof (Hanro and Karin Knoetzen), Keerom (Barend and Ansa Kellerman) and Dasklip (Willem and Hetta van der Merwe) at Porterville. Porterville is approximately 140 km North of Cape Town. Ansa, Hetta, Karin and Petro, Hanro’s mother, are responsible for the delicious products available.
They try to capture the passion that Barend, Hanro and Willem have for fig production, in the Figfun kitchen and to present it in a preserved format. NO PRESERVATIVES ARE USED. Fresh fruit is available in season.
